The broader region of Armenopetra is widely uninhabited except for a few houses close to the beach of Armenopetra, which is roughly 21,5km from Skopelos town between the villages Elios and Palio Klima and only 4km from Glossa village.
Its orientation is west, facing the setting sun; a beautiful sunset is another feature of this beach. The main feature of the area is of course the beach which is actually quite long and consists mainly of pebbles and whitish-yellow sand.
The beach itself is not organized and access is from a narrow off road track about 500m from the main road and bus station. The track is quite narrow and winding and there is quite a spacious parking area and a fuel station on the main road if you want to top up. It is family friendly beach with shallow crystalline waters and very little wind, a favorite spot for families. The picturesque landscape of Skopelos lies behind you.
