The rural area of Kalogeros is at 13km North of Skopelos town and its orientation is North – East. The road is asphalt for 8km and then continues with an off road track in fairly good condition but not often maintained. At the end of the Vathias beach track there is a small corner of absolute solitude strewn with rocks, pebbles and fine shingles.
Although there is parking available access to the beach is challenging. About the only thing to do there is taking in the quiet view, hiking, diving and snorkeling. There are no beach amenities.
The area is rather sparsely inhabited and offers a great opportunity to buy land and build to your own taste.
There is a small picturesque village in the area with no habitants. In the center of the village there is a small traditional church. Kalogeros is an agricultural area with very fertile soil and many olive and fruit groves such as prunes, figs, grapes. At Kalogeros the views are amazing from both sides of the knoll both towards the sea and towards the countryside.
