If you are looking for a property far from hectic tourist resorts, Panormos is a great option. Read on and find out more. The broader area of Panormos does have some opportunities for a house or plot of land. It is a very quiet area that does not have a resort feeling but more of a secluded village aura.
Panormos beach, which is the main attraction, is about 17km from Skopelos Town (Chora) with a Westerly orientation. It is a wide beach with shingle and sand, one of the most popular and frequented beaches of the island which is a leeward gulf with a pebbly beach and crystalline waters.
These waters get deep abruptly a little off the shore so the beach has a lifeguard and is organized with sun beds and umbrellas. It is a family friendly beach with many tavernas and cafes catering to most tastes. There are several hidden coves around the beach that offer a little more seclusion.
For the more adventurous there is boat hiring business during the high season but that is the extent of motorized activity.
The beach has very easy access with the bus station with service four times a day between Skopelos Town and Loutraki beach, stopping at several places along the way on the main road. There is relatively limited parking for personal vehicles is on the side of the road.
